Fictitious Name Records

Businesses that are not incorporated or that
are operating under anything other than a personal name of the principal
are required to file for a fictitious name. Fictitious name records can
identify non-incorporated business involvement and can reveal
subsidiaries of corporate entities. Consideration should be given as to
the legitimacy of any active business in Florida that is not listed in Corporation
Records, Fictitious Name Records,
or county Occupational License
Records.
